Rob Rinder Books in Order
Rob Rinder is a British criminal barrister, broadcaster known as Judge Rinder, and more recently, as the writer of the Adam Green legal mystery series. His debut novel, The Trial, became a Number 1 Sunday Times bestseller, and the series is directly influenced by his background in criminal law, especially the pressure, strict hierarchy, and barristers’ daily lives.
The Adam Green books are courtroom murder mysteries. The cases often begin with an apparently obvious suspect, but the real works is in building the defense: what the evidence actually proves, what witnesses are not saying, and how a young barrister survives inside a legal system full of full of ambitious people, division of class, difficult clients, and judges who do not have much patience.
This page lists all Rob Rinder books in order, including the Adam Green series and his non-fiction legal guide, Rinder’s Rules.

Adam Green Series (Books in Order)
The Adam Green series follows criminal barrister Adam Green, starting when he is still as a trainee and continuing as he takes on murder cases where the evidence looks simple at first, but quickly becomes more complicated in court. Instead of following detectives through an investigation, the books stay on the defence side, where we get a glimpse into office politics, client meetings, courtroom tactics, cross-examination, and the difference between what people assume and what can actually be proved.
Adam’s cases often take place in very public places: a poisoning at the Old Bailey, a death on live breakfast television, an artist killed during a protest, and a wellness guru murdered in front of influencers. Each book has its own main case, but Adam’s career moves forward as the series goes on, so the series is best read in publication order.

Rob Rinder Biography
Rob Rinder is a British criminal barrister, broadcaster, columnist, and author whose novels are influenced by his legal background. He became a barrister in 2001 and many of his cases involved murder, international fraud, money laundering, and other serious or complex criminal cases. His profile also mentions that he has experience with corporate crime, financial services, criminal defense, and regulatory investigations.
Before becoming a writer, Rob Rinder was a popular TV personality. In 2014, while still working as a lawyer, he started hosting the ITV courtroom show Judge Rinder. He later worked in related fields like radio, documentaries, current-affairs programming, travel television, and was a regular host on shows like Good Morning Britain, Amazing Hotels: Life Beyond the Lobby, and Rob and Rylan’s Grand Tour.
His legal fiction began with The Trial in 2023, the first Adam Green novel. The series follows a rookie lawyer learning how the job really works while he is taking on almost impossible cases where the public has usually made up its mind long before the case goes to court. Thus, in his books, the courtroom details are an important part of the story.
Rob Rinder is also known for his work in Holocaust education. His television and educational projects have often touched on his family history and the story of his Holocaust survivor grandfather. He was MBE for services to Holocaust education and awareness, and he has received honorary degrees from Solent University and University College London.
