About Us

Mystery Sequels is an independent reference site created to help readers find mystery, thriller, and suspense book series in the proper reading order. We launched the site in 2013, and it has grown over the years into a structured resource for navigating big series, standalone novels, and sometimes confusing publication timelines.

At its heart, Mystery Sequels is for readers who simply want clear answers: what order to read a series in, where it begins, and how different books fit together logically.

Why Mystery Sequels Exists

If you enjoy mystery or thriller fiction, you’ve probably run into this at least once: a series that looks interesting, but you’re not quite sure where to start.

Some authors write multiple series at once. Others create shared universes that go on and on for decades. Add prequels, spin-offs, not to mention character universes (for example the Jack Ryan Universe), and standalone novels, and things can quickly become quite messy.

We created Mystery Sequels to solve that problem by creating clear, well-organized author pages that focus on straightforward information rather than opinion. The idea was to make it easier to enjoy reading without having to piece together information from forums, comment threads, or conflicting sources.

How the Content Is Created

All content on Mystery Sequels is manually researched and maintained. Author bibliographies, series orders, and publication details are checked against publisher information, official author sources, and trusted bibliographic references.

As the site has grown, freelance writers and editors have helped with research and updates, while I continue to oversee the overall structure and organization of the site. Every page follows the same editorial approach so that the information is consistent, clear, and it is easy to use for even newcomers to any given author.

New books are added as they are announced or released, and existing pages are updated as series evolve over time.

Meet the Founder

Marika

Mystery Sequels was founded by Marika Charalambous, a lifelong reader of crime, mystery, and thriller novels with a background in information systems and web development.

Before starting the site, I worked in corporate environments focused on technical documentation, training materials, and structured content, including roles at companies such as AC Nielsen and 3CX. That experience shaped the way Mystery Sequels is built, with an emphasis on clear organization, careful research, and making information easy to follow.

What began as a personal project to keep track of my own reading gradually turned into a long-term resource which is currently used by readers around the world.

Suggest an Author or Update

Mystery Sequels continues to grow with help from its readers. If an author, series, or recent release is missing, or if you notice an error, you’re always welcome to get in touch. Reader suggestions play a big role in how the site continues to grow.

Mystery Sequels is, and has always been, about making reading more enjoyable, especially when a series gets slightly too complicated.

  1. I am looking for the title of the true account he wrote which took place on Christmas Eve 1944 of a Dutch ship carrying troops across the English Channel to France and the tragedy which occurred when struck by a German torpedo. It may be in his “The Sea Hunters” written in 1996. The account I am referring to was held secret for some 50 years.

Can you assist in my quest to find out more information about Clive’s account of this tragedy? Thank you in advance of any information you can provide.
