Don’t Let Go by Harlan Coben

Dont let go by Harlan Coben

Detective Napoleon Dumas (also called “Nap”) is a detective in New Jersey. He’s in his mid-30s, good at his job, but forever brooding.  Something happened many years ago that forever changed him. His twin brother, Leo, and his girlfriend committed suicide during their senior high-school years. Nobody knows why; they only know that the couple was found dead at the nearby railroad tracks. Soon after, Nap’s girlfriend, Maura, completely disappeared, never to be found again. That is, until now. This sets the scene for Harlan Coben‘s latest psychological thriller Don’t Let Go. Nap could never find the closure he so much […] Read more »

Fool Me Once By Harlan Coben

Fool Me Once Harlan Coben

Harlan Coben is one of those authors whose books I will get as soon as they’re published, without fail. The day of publication is usually marked on my calendar as something to really look forward to. Reading the Harlan Coben books in order for his series, or reading the standalone books gives me great joy. I have to admit, though, his standalone novels always capture my attention way more than Myron Bolitar. Whether updating his Myron Bolitar mystery series or bringing out yet another standalone psychological thriller novel, Harlan Coben knows to write in a way that captivates your attention from the […] Read more »

The Stranger by Harlan Coben

The Stranger Harlan Coben

The Stranger is the latest novel written by Harlan Coben, one of my favorite thriller and mystery authors. It is a standalone novel, not part of his two popular Bolitar series. To be honest, while I enjoy reading his series, I do prefer his standalone books. It’s what got me hooked on author’s books in the first place. The story revolves around Adam Price, a lawyer, a happily married man to Corinne and father of two children who lives a nice, comfortable life in the suburbs. Right until he meets a stranger at a bar (the way many jokes start) who […] Read more »

Missing You by Harlan Coben

Missing You by Harlan Coben

Missing You is a standalone novel by the well known thriller author Harlan Coben, who has also written the popular Myron Bolitar series. Having read almost all his books, I have to admit that while the Myron Bolitar series is excellent, I still prefer his gritty and almost painfully suspenseful standalone thrillers. Maybe because I love thrillers more than lighter detective (sometimes humorous) novels, or maybe because the world of sports is not really my arena. As the author has just released his latest book, The Stranger, I figured I would quickly read Missing You, published last year, to be fully caught up. Missing You is about Kat Donovan, a […] Read more »
