David S. Khara books in order

David S. Khara is a French novelist born on July 28, 1969, in Bourges, France. He has established himself as a significant voice in contemporary fiction, particularly in the thriller genre. Khara’s life journey took him from studying law to briefly working as a notary, and then to stepping into the world of journalism and advertising. He worked for Agence France Press (AFP), which gave him a strong foundation in storytelling through factual reporting, and then as an advertising designer within the RSCG group.

Later on, Khara transitioned into the role of a creative director for television, further honing his skills in crafting narratives that capture and hold the audience’s attention. Despite his diverse career path, writing has always been his passion, and it eventually became his main professional focus.

In 1993, he took a significant step by establishing his own company. For the next 16 years, he dedicated himself to this venture before ultimately deciding to pursue writing as a full-time occupation in 2009.

Khara’s literary debut came in 2010 with the publication of his novel Le Projet Bleiberg, which marked the first installment of a captivating trilogy. The book was met with immediate acclaim, propelling the author into the spotlight. In 2016, Khara’s compelling narrative was adapted into a comic book by Serge Le Tendre and Frédéric Peynet (Dargaud 2016), reaching an even wider audience. This adaptation, known as The Bleiberg Project, was published by Europe Comics in 2017.

At the end of 2014, David Khara joined the Ligue de l’imaginaire, a collective of writers who promote imaginative literature. The league includes Bernard Werber, Maxime Chattam, and Franck Thilliez.

In 2015, he became a member of the International Thriller Writers (ITW), an American association of thriller authors.

In July 2016, he was invited as a guest by the FBI in New York and collaborated with special agents who served as inspiration for the characters in his latest novel, Hooked Atoms.

David S. Khara’s literary influences are deeply rooted in the classics he discovered during his high school years, and this foundation has undoubtedly influenced his writing style and thematic choices. His decision to settle in Brittany in the 1980s suggests a preference for environments that offer tranquility and inspiration away from urban bustle, which might reflect in the atmospheres he creates in his novels.

Another notable work by David S. Khara, titled Vestiges de l’aube, also received the attention of Le Tendre and Peynet, who adapted it into a comic book in 2015 (Dargaud). With these successful adaptations, Khara’s literary contributions have extended beyond traditional novels, captivating readers in different artistic formats.

David S. Khara’s works are available for readers worldwide, and his bibliography can be explored through various platforms such as Amazon, indicating his international reach and the global appeal of his stories. I have also had the honor of interviewing him, which you can read about here: Interview with David Khara.

In a recent Facebook post, David Khara mentioned that he is no longer part of Ligue de l’Imaginaire (a group of French-speaking writers), and is no longer writing books since he retired from this endeavor.
